Why Swaddle Up™?
Medical research suggests that swaddling is beneficial in helping newborns to sleep better. Swaddling a baby may calm their 'startle reflex' which wakes them up & disturbs their sleep. Our patented, award-winning Swaddle Up™ helps baby to settle quickly & establish a peaceful sleep routine. Importantly, it completely removes the need for loose blankets in the cot/crib, making it a safer option for babies.Unlike traditional swaddles that keep a baby's arms by their side or across their chest, the unique Arms Up design of our Swaddle Up™ has patented wings that allow a baby to sleep in their natural Arms Up position. What is self-soothing?
A natural way babies settle themselves to sleep is by sucking on their hands or gently rubbing their cheeks. This is called self-soothing. This hand sucking can also help develop mouth muscles which aid in feeding, speech development & their natural rooting reflex. What is a TOG?
We believe the simplest way to make sure your baby is suitably dressed is to dress for room temperature. At Love to Dream we use the industry-recognised measurement system, called TOG. TOG stands for Thermal Overall Grade and helps simplify the process of choosing the right garment/s for your baby. To best dress for different room temperatures and ensure you select the right Love to Dream product follow these two simple steps: 1. Prior to selecting a Love to Dream product we would recommend having a good understanding of the temperature of your baby’s room. 2. Always look for the ideal room temperature guidance on our products and website to help your selection.
What size Swaddle Up™ should I buy?
For best fit result please select your Swaddle Up™ sizing according to your child's weight not their age.The Swaddle Up™ range is available in four sizes: Newborn (Suitable for 5-8.5lbs), Small (Suitable for 8-13lbs), Medium (Suitable for 13-19lbs) & Large (Suitable for 19-25lbs).
How many Swaddle Up™ swaddles do I need?
We recommend that you purchase at least two Swaddle Up™ swaddles in the appropriate size. If you own two, then one can be in the wash while your baby is wearing the other one. It might even be helpful to consider having a third on hand to use in case of emergencies
