Toddler Sleeping Bags for Busy Little Movers
Toddlers rarely sleep still. They roll, sit up, stand and settle again, often more than once a night. A toddler sleeping bag moves with them, so there are no covers to kick off and no cold wake-ups. You might also hear them called toddler sleep sacks.
Classic or Footed?

- Sleep Bag: the classic shape, for toddlers who are happy to stay put in the cot. Sizes 6-18 and 18-36 months.
Choosing the Right TOG
TOG measures warmth. Choose it by the temperature of the room, not the season.

A babygrow can be swapped for long-sleeve, long-leg pyjamas. Between two ratings? Choose the lower TOG and add a layer underneath.
Finding the Right Size

When should a toddler stop using a sleeping bag?
There is no set age. Many families keep going while their child sleeps in a cot, and our Footed Sleep Bags go up to 4 years. The usual prompt to stop is moving to a big bed.
Can my toddler walk in a sleeping bag?
In a Footed Sleep Bag, yes. The built-in legs and feet let them walk without the fabric bunching underfoot. Keep an eye on them on stairs. A classic Sleep Bag is for the cot.
Will a sleeping bag stop my toddler climbing out of the cot?
The Footed Sleep Bag’s dropped-crotch design helps make climbing harder, but it is not a guarantee. Keep the cot base at its lowest setting once your toddler can stand.
What TOG does my toddler need in winter?
It depends on the room. Between 16 and 20°C, choose 2.5 TOG. Below 16°C, choose 3.5 TOG.
What should my toddler wear under a sleeping bag?
In a 2.5 TOG at 16°C, a babygrow or long-sleeve pyjamas with a long-sleeve bodysuit. In a 1.5 TOG at 20°C, a babygrow and a sleeveless bodysuit. Shop pyjamas and layers in our toddler sleepwear.
Is a toddler sleep sack the same as a toddler sleeping bag?
Yes. Sleep sack is another name for a sleeping bag: a wearable blanket that replaces loose covers in the cot.
