Will these replacement wings fit the Swaddle Up™ Transition Bag I bought a few years ago?
These replacement wings are specifically designed to fit our 2024 collection and onwards. In 2024, we updated our zipper hardware to a smoother, more durable design. To check if your bag is compatible, please check the zipper on your Transition Bag wings. If there is the word “Ideal” on the back, this Transition Bag is compatible for the replacement wing set.
Can I use these wings to turn a standard Swaddle Up™ into a Transition Bag?
No. These wings are replacement parts only and can only be attached to a Swaddle Up™ Transition Bag (which features the built-in zip-off shoulders). Our swaddles do not have zip off wings that 1 necessary zippers to attach these wings.
My baby is a "wing chewer"—how many sets do I need?
Most parents find that having 2 x replacement sets (for a total of two pairs) is the "sweet spot." This allows you to have one pair on the bag, one in the wash and a spare for emergencies. This will ensure your baby always has a fresh, dry surface to self-soothe without having to wash the entire sleep bag daily.
Do I need to buy a specific size of wings for my bag?
Yes. To ensure a safe and secure fit, you must match the wing size to the size of your Transition Bag. For example, if you have a Medium (6–8.5kg) Transition Bag, you will need to select Medium Replacement Wings. The zipper lengths vary between sizes (M, L, and XL) to ensure the correct ergonomic fit for your baby's stage of development.
Can I use these wings with the Transition Suit or only the Transition Bag?
Yes! These spare wings are cross-compatible with both the Swaddle Up™ Transition Bag and the Transition Suit, provided both items are from the 2024 "Ideal" zipper collection. This makes it easy to swap between your favorite transition styles.
